It is less obviously the right call if you want to walk out of your gate onto a wide swimming beach. Mandwa's shoreline is working coast in parts, and the celebrated sand is further along at Nagaon, Kashid and Akshi. Most guests here treat the house as the destination and drive out for a beach afternoon — which, with a car and a driver, is a twenty-minute problem rather than a real one.
