Staying in Nagaon

Nagaon is the part of the Alibaug coast most people picture when they picture Alibaug: a long, walkable beach backed by casuarina and coconut, with the water sports strip at one end and near-silence at the other. It is busy enough to have somewhere to eat and quiet enough that a morning walk on the sand is genuinely a morning walk on the sand.

For a villa stay, that combination is the point. You can spend the day entirely at the house and still walk out for a sunset without organising a drive.

The Houses We Keep Here

Four villas, each with a private pool and its own character.

All four are whole-house bookings with a cook on site. Nobody else is staying in the building, and the pool is yours for the length of the booking.

What Nagaon Is Good At

Nagaon carries a mixed group better than most of the coast. The water sports strip — parasailing, jet skis, banana boats — keeps teenagers and first-time visitors busy, and it is far enough from the residential stretch that it does not follow you home. Meanwhile the beach itself is wide at low tide and safe to walk for a long way, which is what the rest of the group actually came for.

It is also the practical choice for larger bookings. Two of these houses take a full extended family without anyone drawing the short straw on bedrooms, and the drive from Mandwa jetty is short enough that a ferry arrival still works.

If your priority is white sand and swimming above everything else, look at Kashid as well. If it is travel time above everything else, Mandwa is closer to the jetty. And if you would rather someone else handled meals and housekeeping at a resort scale, we also keep hotels and resorts in Nagaon.

Planning the Trip

The Nagaon beach guide is the honest version of what to expect on the sand, and which beach is best for water sports settles the question most groups end up arguing about. For timing, the season guide breaks the year down properly.

Weekends between October and February book out first, and long weekends go months ahead — if your dates are fixed, book early rather than well. The Nagaon destination guide covers the area more broadly, and our team will shortlist against your group size and dates if you get in touch.
